Nice to meet you...
Most people know me as Kimi.
I'm a seventeen year old long-distancer living in Scotland. Currently I'm in my final year of high school, waiting on responses from university. A teacher and mummy are amongst the things I want to become someday. I love to create. Please feel free to message me any time - I really enjoy getting to know new people!
And, of course, enjoy your stay!

painting things which are messed up is more fun

Recent (and by recent I mean, “I finished this about two hours ago…”) painting from my AHArt sketchbook.  Anyone guess who my chosen artist of influence for my folio is?  [N.B. This one actually has multiple inspiration sources.] If you can read and understand the text in this painting, by the way, I’ll be able to learn two things about you - one, that you can understand french and two, that you have amazing eyesight to be able to read something that small.  Can I have your eyes?!

Ahh I started work on this last night.  I did all of the outlining last night (which took ages because of the texture on the multiple ropes/nooses [that’s open to your own interpretation] and the lines in the hair and the eyelashes and…) and painted it today.  I think the painting and re-outlining took me around three hours?  But it was very therapeutic so I can’t complain.

I also did a sort of… Double Ophelia piece with irises in the background.  I was hesitant about doing it because the reference image (which is also in the sketchbook) originally had the girls clothed and I drew them naked (tastefully, mind, you.  Nothing was on show.) but to be honest you’d have to be pretty prudent to get fussed over it. But that’s another story altogether.  At this stage of the game my sketchbook appears to be growing its own garden of religious references with crowns of thorns and whatnot.

I’ll keep you posted.  I’m so ready to do my final piece already.
