Hello all! Sorry for the lack of posts in the past couple of days. I’ve been ill and/or busy (re)watching Hello Baby (SNSD version). Anyway, yesterday we went into Aberdeen (which was hellish on the way in because I felt so sick) for a long overdue appointment with the orthodontist. She says I only have to wear my retainers at night now because my teeth seem to be holding up well - which is in fact a hilarity for me, because I very very very seldom wear my retainers (and when I say that, I mean I only wear them the day before I have dental appointments and on the actual day). My teeth just don’t move if I don’t wear them. But I’m fine with only wearing them at night so it’s all good, hehe~ As usual, we went shopping afterwards and I picked up a few things.
Cosmetics/skincare first~
Picked up a new foundation and some false eyelashes. You can barely see the falsies, right? I rarely wear false lashes nowadays, so I really wanted something that looked super natural and these are so light. A lot of the “natural” lashes I see are super dark and thick, but these are nice and light - both in weight and overall appearance. The foundation is by a brand I’ve never tried before, but it applied super lightly to my skin and was pretty cheap so I bought one to try. My concern is that it’ll dry out my skin, but if that’s the case I can use it in summer or if I go abroad… Or on stage.
Ahh we also went to lush and I bought this Oatifix mask. The sales lady (I think she was new) had this really bad way of sales pitching. She kept asking my mum what she was looking for in a mask (she wasn’t even looking to purchase a mask and could tell what the woman was alluding to) and eventually I had to stop her by just handing my mum Ayesha, which was suited for wrinkles. She was so adamant that I should buy the Cupcake one just because I’m a teenager. She kept saying, “Oh, this one would be good because you’re new to face masks. It’s really good for oily skin.” Lady, stop assuming things. Firstly my skin is dry, not oily. Secondly, I just finished using up a homemade face mask for god’s sake! Hate when salespeople just assume things about you. Anyway, I had my eye on Oatifix because the latest mask I’ve been using uses oatmeal, and I find it really soothes my skin and gets rid of my redness nicely. I’d rather use something I know is going to work when I’m paying £5.50 for a 75g pot. BUT they’re doing this offer where if you bring them back 5 empty pots, you get another pot free, so I’m definitely going to be trying some of their other masks (Catastrophe Cosmetic seeing as I don’t like eating blueberries or Cosmetic Warrior).
Picked up this cardigan, craftily photographed so you can’t see my no-makeup face. It’s so cozy, I love it! Ah, it was pretty difficult to work out which one to buy, though. I’m responsible for selecting presents for my lazy grandmothers to get me for Christmas, and I had three cardigans in front of me. Two of them were blue and then there was this one. One of the blue ones had dolman sleeves the same as this, so it was really difficult to choose between them. Picked this one because it was cheaper… Haha… I’m so stingy even with £350 of birthday cash in my purse.
Picked up these joggers from Republic. Discounted from £34.99 to just £25, which is a pretty OK price from that store, haha. I’m a happy girl~ I love Soulcal joggers. They’re so comfy and I could just wear them all the time around the house~

SEXY TIGHTS! Ehe… Buying these I knew they would either look tacky or sexy when on - BUT THEY WERE THE ONLY PAIR IN THE STORE AT ALL AND THEY HAD THEM IN MY SIZE AND THEY WERE CHEAP SO I THINK THAT WAS REASON ENOUGH TO BUY THEM, DON’T YOU? Thankfully they’re pretty cute on. And just a note - they’re full length tights but the print stops mid thigh. They have a thigh-high effect to them. I really wanna wear these with a pair of shorts and sneakers and ankle socks… Oh god making up so many outfit ideas right now, haha.
Here is the print up close. Naturally, the black print is a little thicker, so they’re almost textured.
I also bought two more things, but I want to make a separate post for those~
