Nice to meet you...
Most people know me as Kimi.
I'm a seventeen year old long-distancer living in Scotland. Currently I'm in my final year of high school, waiting on responses from university. A teacher and mummy are amongst the things I want to become someday. I love to create. Please feel free to message me any time - I really enjoy getting to know new people!
And, of course, enjoy your stay!

Blegh

Drawing irises and skulls for AH Art because I’ve been lazy with this subject lately and need a kick up the bum and to get a move on because I have deadlines now and stuff and yeah… I also need to revise for an RMPS test tomorrow.

I don’t think I’ve spoken much about my AH Art project.  The reason I’m drawing skulls and flowers is because my project is very much centered around death.  Irises are associated with death because in Greek mythology, Iris was the goddess of the Rainbow and transported the souls of women to the underworld (or so I read - don’t quote me on this, I’m no expert, haha).  But these flowers are also associated with faith, valor and wisdom, as well as inspiration and good news.  Skulls are a no-brainer.  I want to create something enigmatic, so I’m using quite a lot of contrasts - be it in symbolic meaning or in other areas.  My main focus is actually on reincarnation/rebirth, but I think there’s also a small focus on how underneath the mask, we’re all the same person.  So far a lot of my work depicts myself with chunks of my face torn open and my skull exposed, or pictures of myself aging and wasting away.  It’ll soon move on to bridal pictures and then a mix of the delightful and the morbid that I haven’t fully worked out yet.

My tea tastes good, though…♪
