Hooked! yesterday was fab! Although I’m not sure ten hours of 11 and 12 year olds will be something I jump to do again any time soon, haha.  Hooked! is a musical about a guy called Steve who gets in trouble with ecstasy and is taught by his shoulder angel and devil about the dangers of drugs.  You can’t make this stuff up, people!

All the first years did really great on stage.  There were a few hiccups backstage with timing (at one point the teacher beside me was clicking her fingers at the runners and swearing - so funny afterwards but terrifying at the time, haha!)  My job was to roll on a tire for a carcrash scene and do hair and makeup for dancers and models - although here I am fixing up our leading ladies - Kloe (Dev) and Maisie (Connie).

The photos here are from Maisie’s camera (I took the top one), who played Stevie’s conscience - Connie.  I have to say, I’m rather jealous of her camera… It’s a nice, dinky, hardwearing lumix.  Would be good for concerts and shows like this!)

And here’s everyone in the senior Hooked! team.  I’m smack bang in the middle of the back row with my pixie ears going all… Pixie…ish…  Yeah.
